Executive Team

Gibran’s background includes working for Goldman Sachs, GNI, Rothschild's Asset Management, Morgan Stanley and Man Group and started in investment banking in 1998.
First spending a year at NM Rothschilds and then moving to RAM Rothschilds Asset Management, before being moved to Morgan Stanley to build on their stock loan and collateral lending desk.
Gibran has worked for EFG and Julius Baer in Zurich and Geneva, and Boyer Allen in London, and was Private Client Director for ACG Group a $2bn Singapore tech and clean energy fund. He also spent 2 years in Sao Paulo developing and marketing UK pension funds to high net worth individuals.
More recently Gibran has been a policy advisor at the European Parliament in the Economic and Monetary Affairs committee advising on Fintech and Banking regulations and working on the impact of BREXIT to the financial services sector.
He has also built various FinTech start-ups and successfully exited.Gibran holds a degree in BSc(Hon) Business Information Technology and qualifications in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.



Peter started his career in fund management at Brown Brothers Harriman in New York before coming to London where he joined Warburg and Paribas before achieving an Extel ranking at Schroders in Telecommunications services.
He joined Park Place Capital in 1998 where he was the senior analyst for the TMT sectors and the co-manager of the long/short equity fund, Polaris Prime Europe. In 2001, co-founded and co-managed the Boxwood Double Alpha Fund European equity strategy before rejoining Park Place where he was Managing Partner and Director of Research of the long/short funds, Park Place Europe and Polaris Prime Europe from 2003 to 2013. He and his team were awarded the Mar Hedge Long/Short Euro Equity Specialist Performance award.
Park Place was subsequently acquired by RAB Capital, where he restructured, revived and co-managed the European equity strategy. He also launched and helped grow the RAB Prime Europe UCITS Fund.
In 2014, Peter developed, launched and subsequently managed the Pergam Rising Dividend Fund, a long-only fund focused on dividend growth.
Peter holds a BA from Williams College in the US, he holds CFA1 and CFA2 certificates and has been a lecturer at the SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts) and Surrey University MBA programs.



taco sieburgh sjoerdsma


Taco has over two decades experience in research, trading and operations.Starting his career as a top-rated equity analyst at UBS, he moved to Paribas to become Head of Research in Singapore and then Moscow, before opening the London office for a US global macro hedge fund, followed by working for a large US long/short manager in NY. Going back to London, he became Head of Research at Europe's largest third party marketing firm for hedge funds, and then 9 years as CFO/COO at a frontier hedge fund, during which time several other new businesses and funds were acquired and started.
He is the founder of PH7 Hedge Fund Consultants and major supporter of the ideals and ideas of Urban Edge Capital.Taco has a MBA from the University of Chicago and a Business Economics Degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He is Dutch (born in the Caribbean) and speaks a few languages.

israel cohen


Mr Cohen has 20 years experience in portfolio construction as well as asset allocation across multiple asset classes. Israel has worked for houses such as Mercer, Fund Advisors and Momentum. More recently Israel has taken the helm at Aviva and Legal and General as Head of Investments. Mixed with experience in developing strategy and consulting externally for multiple investment groups, Israel brings a experience in managing funds that exceed £25Bn.
Israel is also a specialist in investment strategy and policy with skill set matured and developed working within the ESG fund arena.
Israel holds a BSc(Hons) in Physics from University College London (UCL) and the IMC Certificate.



Marcus Whyte was appointed to the Board in 2019. He has extensive professional service and executive search experience. Currently he is the owner of ZYNA Search a boutique Executive Search, with a focus on diversity, including being a leader in the BME talent agenda at the Board and executive management level.
Last year he featured in the Sunday Times Magazine following an interview “Being black in the corporate world. Over the last eight years, Marcus has worked on a wide range of executive and non executive search assignments, and leadership development projects, including a number of high profile reviews. His clients range from FTSE 100 companies, to major global consulting and tech firms. Marcus spent 7 years working for variety of Financial Services search firms where he held a variety of functional lead positions.
Before moving into executive search in 2004, Marcus was an auditor in financial services, before moving into business consulting for Arthur Andersen Consulting EMEIA. Marcus studied Banking Finance at Loughborough University, has played rugby in the National leagues and is a qualified yoga teacher.

Raul Biancardi is our corporate strategy advisor. He has 25 years of experience in wealth and asset management, investment research, and private banking, working in the UK, Switzerland, and the Middle East. Before co-founding Open Vista, Raul was Head of International Asset Management and Private Banking at Banco Bradesco, based in London.
He successfully created and launched Bradesco’s first globally diversified funds and built the international wealth advisory and investment management operations in Europe. Raul started his career at the beginning of the ‘90s as the founder of Morgan Stanley’s Latin American equities business in Europe.
In 1997, he joined Lehman Brothers, where he held several senior positions including Head of Wealth and Asset Management for EMEA, Deputy Head of European Equity Research, and Head of Emerging Markets Equities. In 2008, Raul became the Chief Operating Officer of NCB Capital, the largest investment bank in Saudi Arabia. At NCB, Raul was directly responsible for wealth and asset management and supervised a large team of private bankers. In 2011, Raul moved to Geneva to build the family office of a prominent member of the Saudi Royal Family, where he managed investments in excess of $5 billion. Raul holds a BA from Tulane University and an MBA from Westminster University.
